Castify ("the App", "we", "us") lets you browse media stored on your device and cast it to Chromecast and DLNA devices on your local Wi-Fi network. This policy explains what information the App accesses, how it's used, and your choices.
If you create an account or sign in, we use Firebase Authentication to process:
This data is used solely to authenticate you and identify your account (e.g. to sync your favorites/premium status). We do not sell or share this data with third parties for marketing.
Castify requests access to photos, videos, audio, and documents stored on your device (via Android media permissions or the iOS photo/file picker) so you can browse and cast them. These files are read locally to display thumbnails and previews, and are streamed directly to a cast device over your local network when you choose to cast. Castify does not upload these files to any remote server operated by us.
To discover and cast to Chromecast and DLNA-compatible devices, Castify accesses your local Wi-Fi network (network state, Wi-Fi state, and, on Android, multicast) and may run a small local HTTP server on your device to stream transcoded media to the receiving device. This traffic stays within your home network and is not sent to us or any third party.
Premium subscriptions and lifetime unlocks are processed entirely through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store via their in-app purchase systems. Castify does not collect or store your payment card details — purchase status (e.g. "premium active") is the only information shared back to the App by the store.
Free-tier users may see banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. Premium subscribers do not see ads and are not served AdMob requests. You can review or manage ad personalization through your device's ad settings, and Google's own privacy practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Castify does not request camera, microphone, location, or contacts access.
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with:
Account data is retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated authentication data at any time by contacting us below. Media files never leave your device unless you choose to cast them, and are not stored by us in any form.
Castify is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
